A famous Ukrainian football club is facing serious financial problems.
İdman.biz reports that employees of Odessa "Chernomorets" have not received salaries for more than two months.
Disappointing news about the club states: "The lights have been cut off at the base due to debt. They are operating on a generator. The water is also about to be cut off. Salaries have not been paid. There will soon be a three-month delay."
However, "Chernomorets" continues its preparations for the new season. In the 2024/25 season, the team finished last in the Ukrainian Premier League and was relegated to the First League.
It should be noted that the Odessa team achieved its greatest success in the Soviet era in 1974 under the leadership of Azerbaijani head coach Ahmad Alasgarov, taking 3rd place in the USSR championship.
