Serhiy Kleshchenko has been dismissed from his position as head coach of the Moldova national team. Sport24.az reports that the Moldovan Football Federation has released a statement about this.
The reason for parting ways with the 53-year-old specialist was the team's 1:11 defeat to Norway in the qualifying round for the 2026 World Cup.
It should be noted that the Moldova national team played 38 matches under Kleshchenko's leadership, with 12 wins, 8 draws, and 18 losses. He had been coaching the team since 2021.
