Former Argentina national team goalkeeper Sergio Romero has ended his career at the age of 39.
Idman.Biz reports that journalist Fede Cristofanelli reported this on the X social media platform.
According to the source, the former football player wants to continue his career as the head coach of the team and is not interested in the position of goalkeeper coach. Romero has already created an assistant staff. The future coach has received several offers, but he has rejected them because he currently does not want to leave Buenos Aires for family reasons.
During his playing career, Romero played for "Sampdoria", "Manchester United", "Boca Juniors" and other teams. He won silver medals with the Argentine national team at the 2014 World Cup.
