Sergio Ramos, former defender of "Real" and currently playing for the Mexican club "Monterrey", has reacted to the appointment of Xabi Alonso as head coach of the Madrid club. Sport24.az reports that the captain of the Mexican club gave an interview to "RMC Sport" regarding this:
"Real", thanks to its level, players, and mentality, is a favorite in all the tournaments it participates in. Now, Xabi Alonso, who has won everything and knows this club very well, has arrived."
It should be noted that "Real" finished the 2024/2025 season in second place in La Liga. They finished 2nd in the Primera Liga standings, 4 points behind "Barcelona". The "Royal Club" also failed to win the Spanish Cup and the Spanish Super Cup. In the Champions League, the Madrid team lost to "Arsenal" in the quarterfinals and stopped competing.
