Bosnia and Herzegovina national team head coach Sergey Barbarez spoke about qualifying for the 2026 World Cup after defeating Italy in the play-off final (1:1, pen. - 4:1).
Idman.Biz reports with reference to the UEFA website that the specialist said that they believed in victory from the beginning of the match:
"I told my players to go out and enjoy themselves. I have never started and finished a game with so much calmness. We had problems at the beginning of the first half. We couldn't position ourselves correctly. That's why we experienced danger in several counterattacks. But you saw that we believed in victory from the beginning. Even playing with 10 people, we were performing against a world-class team that defends well.".
It should be noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina will compete in Group B with Canada, Switzerland and Qatar.
