Beşiktaş coach Sergen Yalçın commented on the 1-1 draw with Samsunspor in the XIII round of the Turkish Super League.
Idman.Biz reports that Yalçın criticized the refereeing in the post-match press conference, stating that the VAR decisions were inconsistent.
The head coach emphasized that individual mistakes again caused the loss of points:
"After scoring, we lost our grip on the game and gave the score to the opponent. When the team doesn't have a habit of winning, the psychological state is disturbed. This also affects the game."
Yalçın said that the team's structural problems require time:
"1-2 transfer periods are needed to solve some problems. Rafa Silva was the player all hopes were pinned on, we lost him. Orkun is also suspended. We are currently trying to do our best with the existing squad. The problems are not issues that cannot be fixed."
The experienced coach noted that Beşiktaş's goal is still to qualify for European cups and fight for titles.
