Senegal and Ivory Coast have qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after winning their home matches in the qualifying tournament.
Idman.Biz reports that in Group B, Senegal defeated Mauritania 4:0, and in Group F, Ivory Coast defeated Kenya 3:0.
Senegal finished first in Group B with 24 points, followed by the Democratic Republic of Congo in second place.
Ivory Coast (26 points) topped Group F, ahead of Gabon (25).
The teams that finished second, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Nigeria, will play a mini-tournament to determine one African country for the play-off round of the 2026
World Cup main stage.
28 teams have qualified for the 2026 World Cup: USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Ghana, Algeria, Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, New Zealand, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Japan, Iran, Australia, Cabo Verde, South Africa, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, England, Senegal and Ivory Coast.
A total of 48 teams will compete in the 2026 World Cup.
