A seminar on match-fixing was held for members of the Azerbaijan I League club "Baku Sporting".
"Report" reports, citing the press service of the capital's representative, that Naib Asadov, head of the AFFA's Compliance and Anti-Match-Fixing Department, provided detailed information to the club members about cases of match manipulation.
During the seminar, attention was drawn to the relevant articles of the AFFA Disciplinary Code adopted in 2025, stating that participation in match-fixing, attempts at such cases, or concealment of information is considered a serious disciplinary violation. Specific examples from local and international experience were also presented to the players.
It should be noted that the main goal of the educational event is to maintain transparency and integrity in the football community, strengthen the fight against match-fixing, and increase the awareness of football players in this area.
