Former "Qarabağ" football player Sedat Saini spoke to Sportal.az about his former club.
He talked about the successful results of the Aghdam representative in European cups:
"I wasn't surprised that "Qarabağ" scored 6 points after two rounds in the Champions League. They have done very good work in recent years. Stable work is going on, and they have reached an important level in terms of European experience. The team's game is well-established. They are very disciplined on the field. Especially at home, they make good use of the support of the fans. Therefore, "Qarabağ's" victories in the Champions League are not a surprise, but the result of systematic work. The biggest secret of "Qarabağ's" presence at these levels is stability, the progress of planning in the right direction. The management is thinking about long-term work. A squad has been assembled that can compete in the European arena. Consistency in discipline and understanding of the game in the team forms the basis of success."
Saini, who currently works as the coach of the Kosovo champion "Drita", assessed "Qarabağ's" chances in the 3rd round of the Champions League against "Athletic":
"The meeting against "Athletic" will be very difficult. The Bilbao representative is a team that stands out with its physical strength and pace. But "Qarabağ" has already become an experienced team in Europe. The midfield battle will determine the fate of the match."
