Sean Dyche is considered the main candidate for the head coach position at Nottingham Forest.
Idman.Biz, citing the British press, reports that the 53-year-old specialist, who has been unemployed since leaving Everton, is in the spotlight of the club's management.
According to reports, Dyche is considered the main favorite after the resignation of current head coach Ange Postecoglou. Although the Australian specialist was appointed only 39 days ago, he has failed to win in eight games, and his team has conceded 18 goals, showing the club's weakest start in the last hundred years.
Interestingly, Dyche is familiar with Forest from the beginning. He played in the club's youth team in the late 1980s, although he did not appear in the main squad. In a statement to Sky Sports, he recalled those years as follows:
"It was an important period for me. We trained at the "City Ground", there were a lot of jokes and football spirit, it was real football time".
It is reported that the appointment of the new head coach will be formalized in the coming days. If the decision is in Dyche's favor, he will return to the club after 35 years.
It should be noted that Nottingham Forest is currently in the relegation zone in the Premier League and will face Bournemouth, Manchester United and Leeds in the upcoming matches, and will also play an important match against Porto in the Europa League.
