Idman.Biz reports that at the end of the match, the birds, not being afraid of the players, gathered directly around the spot where the free kick was taken. As the players prepared to strike, seagulls were located very close to the ball and the players.
Even ignoring the noise and movement, the birds seemed to create a "living wall". Although the referees did not stop the game, the players tried to continue the match without harming the birds.
