The "School Cup" tournament has started in Sumgayit within the framework of cooperation between AFFA and the State Agency for Preschool and General Education under the Ministry of Science and Education. According to Sport24.az, the first games were held after the opening ceremony. In total, teams from 42 schools will compete in the competition, including 7th grade boys, 5th grade boys and girls.
After the completion of the internal championship, the champion team in each of the three groups will represent the region in regional competitions - Regional finals.
It should be noted that the main purpose of organizing the "School Cup" tournament is to increase the popularity of football among schoolchildren, promote a healthy lifestyle, and contribute to the formation of team spirit in children. Within the framework of the project, competitions will be held between schools in all regions of the country, and the winners will compete in the national championship.
