Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has announced that Lionel Messi will participate in the friendly match against Zambia.
According to Idman.Biz, citing ESPN, the match will be held on April 1.
Scaloni noted that the team learned from the previous match against Mauritania, which ended in a 2-1 victory.
The coach said, "It's a good sign that the players understand that the game was unsuccessful. Last time we weren't a team. This is an opportunity to assess our level, and we hope it was an isolated incident."
Messi appeared in the second half of the match against Mauritania.
In the 2026 World Cup, Argentina will compete in Group J against Algeria, Austria, and Jordan.
