"I was very surprised when I heard the news, I couldn't believe it."
Idman.biz reports that Sayyad Aran, a deputy from the Imishli-Saatli constituency No. 82 of the Milli Majlis, said this in his statement to Sportnet.az, while commenting on the allegations that "Imishli" would be given a technical defeat.
In his opinion, the admission of a football player whose name was not in the final protocol in the game against "Sumgayit" with a score of 1:0 is purely a technical error: "Let them check the documents again, clarify whether Ibrahim Aliyev's name is there or not. If his name is in the initial documents, it is impossible to give a technical defeat and undermine the team's efforts to this extent. Also, I don't believe that the club management made such a mistake. Because they know that a player whose name is not in the protocol is considered 'fake'. They wouldn't do that."
The deputy stated that giving "Imishli" a technical defeat would be unfair: "This will be completely unfair. Documents need to be checked. If his name is in the previous documents, then he is a player of the team. Bringing someone from outside and putting him in would be a child's mistake, no one would do that. It is unacceptable to waste the team's efforts to this extent. The team's old head coach and club management would not make such a big mistake."
It should be noted that "Imishli" won against "Sumgayit" with a score of 1:0. The scandal that occurred during the game will be discussed at the meeting of the AFFA Disciplinary Committee.
