Saudi Arabia has not allowed Argentine national team footballer Lionel Messi to play in the national championship.
"Report" reports that "RMC Sport" radio reported this.
According to the source, Messi wanted to move to one of the Saudi Arabian clubs during the break in the MLS league, in which Inter Miami (USA) participates. He wanted to take this step in order to maintain his playing experience before the 2026 World Cup.
However, the sports leadership of Saudi Arabia did not approve of the idea of the Argentine footballer playing in the national championship for only four months.
It should be noted that "Inter Miami" announced some time ago that Lionel Messi extended his contract with the club until December 2028.
