"Sumgayit" head coach Sasha Ilic has assessed the team's Gabala training camp. Sport24.az reports that he stated the following in a statement to the club's press service:
"I think we had a very good and productive training camp. The conditions created for us, the pitches, the hotel we stayed in, in a word, everything was great. Most importantly, we finished the training camp without any injuries."
As for the last friendly game, I think this match was the best of all our games. My team almost understands what I want and tries to perform accordingly. As in previous matches, we made mistakes in simple situations here as well. We have 1 week left before the first match of the season. I think we will work on our mistakes as much as possible and be fully prepared for the game against "Kapaz"."
It should be noted that within the framework of the summer training camp, "Sumgayit" drew 0:0 with "Imishli", 2:2 with "Gabala", won 2:1 against "Kapaz" and lost 0:1 to "Shamakhi".
