The "5-Star Academy Development Model" is based on a star system from 0.5 to 5 stars.
This was stated by Sarkhan Huseynov, AFFA representative and coach specialist-coordinator for the development of club academies, in his statement to "Report".
He said that no sanctions will be applied to academies that cannot get a star:
"No sanctions will be applied to academies that cannot get a star. Our model is based on a star system from 0.5 to 5. If an academy is not worthy of 3 stars, it will be given 1.5 or 2 stars. Each star has specific criteria. If a club gets 1.5 stars, we will provide it with a clear roadmap showing what steps it needs to take to earn 2.5 or 3 stars in the coming years, according to its potential."
