We expect a determined game and good results from the Azerbaijan national team.
This was stated by AFFA Executive Vice-President Sarkhan Hajiyev in his statement to "Report".
The official of the organization spoke about the friendly matches that the Azerbaijani national team will hold against the Latvian and Hungarian national teams:
"As you know, both matches are friendly matches. The national team is preparing for the qualifying round matches of the 2026 World Championship. Of course, even if they are friendly matches, we expect a determined game and victory from our team. Questions about the squad are usually given to the head coach. However, when the squads are announced, there will probably be some changes."
It should be noted that the team led by Fernandu Santuş will face Latvia on June 7 at the "Skonto" stadium in Riga. The team will face Hungary 3 days later at the "Liv Bona Dea Arena".
