The famous "San Siro" stadium, where "Inter" and "Milan" play their home games, will be demolished.
İdman.biz reports that journalist Tancredi Palmeri wrote about this on the X social network.
The Milan City Council has decided to sell the stadium to both clubs. According to Palmeri, "Inter" and "Milan" plan to demolish the existing arena and build a new stadium in its place. According to the Italian newspaper "Il Messaggero", a more functional and modern arena will be put into operation by the 2032 European Championship.
It should be noted that "San Siro" was built in 1926 and underwent major reconstruction in 1956 and 1989. The arena has a capacity of more than 80,000 spectators. It hosted the World Championships in 1934 and 1990, the European Championship in 1980, as well as two European Champions Cup finals and two Champions League finals.
It is worth mentioning that the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games on February 6, 2026 will also be held at "San Siro".
