San Marino suffered a heavy defeat at home against the Cyprus national team in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.biz reports that the match held in Serravalle ended with a 0-4 defeat for the home team.
The goals for the Cyprus team were scored by Loizos Loizou in the 9th minute, Stelios Andreou in the 59th minute, Grigoris Kastanos in the 67th minute, and Andronikos Kakoulis in the 79th minute.
It should be noted that after this victory, the Cyprus national team reached 8 points and rose to 3rd place in Group H. San Marino, however, still remains without points and is in last place – 5th. The leader of the group is Austria with 15 points.
