The head coach of "Neftchi", Samir Abasov, commented on the friendly match (1:1) against the "Hapoel" club from Tel Aviv, Israel, as part of the training camp in Poland. Sport24.az reports that Abasov stated the following in an interview with "Neftchi TV" after the game:
"It was the first test match after a long break. I told you yesterday in what direction the game would go, I said that we would go out with different squads for each half. It was clear from the match how difficult it was for the players. We hadn't played a game for a long time, and we were also playing after heavy workloads. The goal was to see how the players would show themselves against the background of physical exertion. I think they coped with it. We don't focus so much on these games from a tactical point of view, we also think about the physical aspects. Because there is enough time before the start of the championship. We are trying to ensure that the players do not lose their tone during this period, but on the contrary, improve their physical condition even more with such games. I think it wasn't bad for the first game. Individual mistakes made by the players are normal. We have been football players ourselves, we know that in this situation the legs do not obey the words. So we understand them. Let's take into account that we had two trainings yesterday. The main thing is to improve our physical condition. In addition, I believe that after forming the team, we will be well prepared for the championship".
