"Neftchi" has sacked head coach Samir Abasov.
Idman.Biz reports, citing "teleqraf", that the reason for this was the team's unsuccessful performance.
The management of the capital club finalized its opinion on the 47-year-old specialist after a 2:3 home defeat to "Imishli" in the XII round of the Azerbaijan Premier League yesterday and terminated the contract.
It should be noted that Samir Abasov was the head coach of "Neftchi" since October 2024. He also coached the "white-blacks" in 2020-2022.
