"Qarabag" football player Sami Mmae answered Sport24.az's questions after the XI round match of the Misli Premier League, in which they won against "Neftchi" with a score of 2:0.
- You won the Azerbaijan derby. What can you say about the match?
- I think we started the match very well. We were able to put pressure on the opponent on the field. We were also the side that controlled the ball more. We were also aggressive. For this reason, I think we played well. Sometimes we make mistakes. You have to be careful. But we showed that we were ready for this match and we deserved the victory today.
- What do you think, was this the most difficult match of the championship?
- Not for me personally. We've had games that we suffered a lot more from. We got a few scoring chances in the meeting with "Neftchi". It is easier to play against such teams. Because they don't wait for you to meet them in the back. When there is an open game, we also find some gaps. Other teams defend with 4-5 players, and in this case it is difficult to find gaps.
- What can you say about the atmosphere in the game?
- It was very good. It is always nice to play in front of such fans. It makes us even happier.
- Are you satisfied with the level of the Azerbaijan championship?
- There are good teams in the league. Everyone shows their quality. As I said before, sometimes they defend a lot, and sometimes they try to play. But I think that each team has its own characteristics. Therefore, we have to prepare well for every match in order to win. You have to be 100 percent ready in all games.
- Which team do you consider the most difficult opponent in the championship?
- I don't know. They are all the same to me. You just have to win every meeting. I think that's the most important thing. I don't pay special attention to any club. I'm just focused on becoming a champion in the end.
