Senegalese and Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabia) forward Sadio Mane has confirmed his retirement from the national team after the Africa Cup of Nations final.
Idman.Biz reports that Senegal became champion by defeating Morocco 1-0 in the decisive match of the tournament.
"I think I said it before, but I will repeat it again. If everything goes well, God willing, I will stop here. I think the next generation can be trusted; they will handle this task, and I will be their 12th player," RMC Sport quotes Mane.
Sadio Mane was named the best player of the Africa Cup of Nations. The 33-year-old forward scored two goals and provided two assists in seven matches. He also brought his team back into the game after a controversial penalty late in the final.
