The teams of "Sabah" consisting of lower age groups are not behind their peers in Europe.
This was stated by Maharram Muslimzadeh, the head coach of "Sabah"'s national team consisting of football players under 12 years old, in his statement to "Report".
He evaluated the successful performance of the team at the "Antalya Friendship Cup" tournament held in Antalya, Turkey:
"Such international tournaments are important for the development of our children. The competition was very well organized in general. Our team played at a high level. We finished all the matches with a victory and became champions."
He talked about the details of the competition:
"The tournament was held in several age groups. In the U-12 competition we participated in, 12 teams were divided into two groups of 6 each. We were in Group B together with the Russian "United" (Yekaterinburg), "Dinamo" (Moscow), the Irish "Tempo", and the Iraqi "Amman" teams. We won all 5 games we played in the group. In the semi-finals, we won 1:0 against the Lithuanian "Margiris" team, and in the final, we won 3:0 against "United" and became champions."
M.Muslimzadeh expressed his satisfaction with the performance of "Sabah"'s U-12 team:
"The children were able to show the game we wanted, desire, desire and motivation on the field. In general, based on the games played by our U-10, U-11, U-12 teams in international tournaments, I can say that these age groups are not behind their peers in Europe. They just need more international game experience, and such tournaments are very important in this regard."
