"Sabah" head coach talked about the games with "Cele": There was an equal fight

In both matches between "Sabah" and "Cele" in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, there was an equal fight.

"Report" informs that the head coach of "Sabah" Valdas Dambrauskas said this at a press conference after the return match with the Slovenian club.

The specialist did not forget to congratulate the opponent:

"I congratulate "Cele" on qualifying for the next stage. I think there was an equal fight in both games. I think the goal we conceded in the last second of the game in Baku will be remembered - because it happened in the last second. As for today's game, I can only praise my players. I highly appreciate their dedication and struggle. Because we came out and scored the first goal. At that moment, there was hope that we could do something. "Cele" had prepared surprises for us. Especially in the episodes when they had the ball. Today they played with a holding midfielder. After we scored a goal, we had difficulty controlling the situation at the beginning of the first half. Then we changed our tactical formation and tried to close the gaps. Again, the opponent pushed us back with their fast attacks. The score was 1:1 in the first half. But again, I regret the goal we conceded from set pieces. However, after the substitutions, we were more aggressive and tried to push forward. As a result, we scored 2 goals in just 2 minutes. But sometimes we retreated, played close to our goal. We defended well. Although we put everything on the line in added minutes, it was not enough. Now our main goal is to recover quickly, learn from this match and improve. I believe that these two games have taught us a lot. Even if we don't qualify for the next stage, we can be proud of the performance we showed. The lessons learned from these two matches will be useful for us in the future."

It should be noted that "Sabah" lost to the Slovenian team according to the results of two games (2:3, 3:3) and stopped the fight in the UEFA Europa League.

The capital club will clarify relations with the Moldovan representative "Petrocub" in the II qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. The matches of this round will be played on July 24 and 31.
