Baku football club "Sabah" has faced lighting problems at the stadium for the third time in recent years.
Idman.biz reports that the lights went out at the "Bank Respublika Arena" during the VI round of the Misli Premier League match "Sabah" - "Sumgayit" (1:1), and the match continued after a break of approximately 15 minutes.
This is the third similar incident involving "Sabah". Thus, on May 9, 2025, during the "Sabah" - "Shamakhi" match held in the same arena, the lights went out twice, and the game was stopped for several minutes.
Earlier, on March 3, 2021, the "Neftchi" - "Sabah" game at the "Bakcell Arena" was left without lights in the 27th minute (with a score of 0:0), and the break lasted approximately 10 minutes.
The occurrence of the last two cases with a short time difference and in the same arena indicates that the condition of the "Bank Respublika Arena" is not good. If no measures are taken, it is not excluded that "Sabah" will face similar force majeure situations again.
