"The match went very well, we won. The rain was a bit of an obstacle to showing a quality game." According to Sport24.az, these words were said by Rza Jafarov, the goalkeeper of the Azerbaijan national team.
The goalkeeper shared his thoughts on the match in which they defeated Saint Lucia (6:1) in the "FIFA Series – 2026" international tournament:
"I congratulate everyone. The squad changed in the second half. Salahat Aghayev is an experienced goalkeeper. It would be too much for me to say anything about that."
R. Jafarov did not want to talk about the goalkeepers who were not invited to the team:
"I can't say anything about that. The coaches know better. They see the best."
The player said that they want to win the next match as well:
"We will do our best for this. We intend to make our people happy."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan national team will face Sierra Leone in the same arena on March 30.
