Rza Jafarov chose "Gabala" because it felt closer to him. Sport24.az reports that the goalkeeper said this in a statement to the press service of the regional representative.
He emphasized that he was happy to return to "Gabala":
"It is very nice for me to train on this field again after years and to protect the honor of this team. I also had offers from other clubs. But I chose this place because "Gabala" felt closer to me. As a young football player, I believe that the base, fields and professional coaching staff of this club will play an important role in my development".
R. Jafarov appealed to the fans and advised them to be patient:
"Before coming here, I received many messages of support from the fans. Therefore, I thank each of them. I believe that everything will be fine and our team will make the fans happy with victories".
It should be noted that "Gabala" has leased R. Jafarov from "Neftchi" until the end of the season. The goalkeeper's contract with the capital club is valid until the end of the 2027/2028 season.
