The Rwanda national team, featuring "Zira" club players Leroy-Jak Mikels and Anje Mutsinzi, has won the "FIFA Series - 2026" international tournament.
İdman.Biz reports that the decisive match took place at the "Amoxoro" stadium in Kigali, with the stands filled with about 45,000 fans.
In the final, the Rwanda team faced Estonia.
Both "Zira" representatives - Mikels and Mutsinzi - started the game in the starting lineup. The match ended with a 2:0 victory for the Rwanda national team. Leroy-Jak Mikels, who debuted in the national team and scored a goal in the match against Grenada (4:0), also distinguished himself in the final, contributing to his team. He not only scored a goal but also remembered with a productive assist in the other goal. The 30-year-old forward was named the best player of the tournament.
Leroy-Jak Mikels' other brothers, who play in Azerbaijan, also participated in the match. "Sabah" member Joy-Lens Mikels started in the starting lineup, while Joy Slide Mikels, who plays for "Karvan-Yevlakh", came on as a substitute.
