The duration of the contract of Ruy Jorge, the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team under 20, has been announced. Sport24.az reports that the Portuguese specialist announced this at a press conference.
"We can have a very good experience in the next 1 year and 7 months. We will be together during this time," he emphasized.
R.Jorge said he was proud to be here:
"Success depends on the players' desire and determination. If we can do these, we can achieve success. I spoke with the former head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Fernando Santos, before coming here. He said good things about both the country and the people. From the first day I arrived here, I saw that what he said coincided."
The U-20 national team will participate in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2027.
