The head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Ruy Jorge, stated that he has no proposals regarding the regular playing of U-20 footballers.
According to "Report", the Portuguese specialist said this at a press conference held in connection with his appointment as head coach of the national team.
"Currently, I have no proposals regarding the regular playing of U-20 footballers. We haven't talked about it. I am familiar with the championship. I cannot say that players are not found for the main national team due to the level of the players, the limit in the Premier League. The Azerbaijani national team is not the Portuguese national team. I know this very well. But I can say that when the Portuguese U-21 team achieved success, that team was 19th in the ranking. A lot depends on the quality and development of the players," said Ruy Jorge.
The U-20 national team will participate in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2027.
