"After our meeting with the management, we decided to start preparing for the new season with Zaqatala footballers." These words were said by Rustam Mammadov, the head coach of "Zaqatala", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The young specialist stated that the club management's meeting with the sponsor was scheduled for July 17, but was later postponed to August 8 for undisclosed reasons:
"According to the information I received, the club management should meet with the sponsor tomorrow. After that, the team's goal and budget will be determined. I have not renewed my contract with "Zaqatala", which has expired. Because we ourselves do not know our salary, what goals we will fight for. We will start signing contracts after the budget is known. After our financial situation is confirmed, we can talk about goals comfortably."
It should be noted that "Zaqatala" finished the 2024/2025 season in fifth place with 34 points.
