The Azerbaijani national team owes it to themselves to win against all opponents in League D of the UEFA Nations League.
This was stated to "Report" by Rustam Ahmadzada, a football player of the "Sumgayit" club and the national team.
He emphasized the importance of achieving results:
"It doesn't matter who our opponent is in League D. We owe it to ourselves to win against everyone, and our minimum goal is to rise to League C. In my opinion, our chances of climbing to a higher level are very good."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team will compete with Lithuania and Liechtenstein in Group 2 of League D of the Nations League. The team will hold its first match against the Lithuanian national team on September 27.
