The Russian Football Union (RFU) and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) are negotiating to hold a friendly match between their national teams. Sport24.az reports that the "Band" publication has reported on this.
It is noted that RFU Secretary General Maxim Mitrofanov sent a letter to the CBF back in August 2024 regarding the organization of the match. The Brazilian Football Confederation has agreed to hold the match with the Russian national team between October 6-14 or November 10-18, 2025.
It should be noted that due to the events in Ukraine, FIFA and UEFA have suspended Russian national teams and clubs from international competitions since 2022.
