Ukrainian national team midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi sincerely shared his feelings after the team's successful matches in October (5:3 victory over Iceland and 2:1 victory over Azerbaijan). Sport24.az reports that the "Genoa" player, speaking to the Ukrainian press, said that he put all his strength on the field:
"Of course, I'm tired. I haven't played at this pace for a long time. It wasn't easy, but I put all my strength on the field. I am very happy for the team. We created many goal opportunities in the first half, but we lacked a bit of accuracy in the final passes. We made some mistakes, which usually doesn't happen to us. But the most important thing is the result."
Malinovskyi also emphasized that the opponents are getting stronger:
"We see that all national teams, even Azerbaijan, know how to play football. The game was not easy, but I think the main thing is the victory. Now we are preparing for the next game. In Iceland, the field was hard, the ball moved faster. Here, the field was softer, there was a lot of sand. The body reacts differently to this, the muscles work differently. I already felt in training that my legs were tired, but I had to endure it."
After four rounds, Ukraine is in second place in Group D with 7 points. France is first with 10 points, Iceland has 4, and Azerbaijan has 1 point. In November, the Ukrainian national team will face decisive matches with France and Iceland.
