"It was the first official match of the season. Of course, the opponent is also one of the ambitious teams." These words were said by Rufat Abbasov, a football player of "Shamakhi", in his statement to Sport24.az.
The winger shared his impressions about the first round of the Misli Premier League, which they drew 1:1 with "Neftchi":
"Winning one point away is a successful result. After 1:0, we could have increased the score as well. But it didn't work out. In the second half of the match, the opponent also had chances to take the lead. I think a draw should be considered a good result for us."
Abbasov said that every game will be like a final for "Shamakhi":
"Not only against "Neftchi", we are motivated against any opponent."
The player also spoke about the goals of the regional representative in the current season:
"First of all, our main goal is to stay in the Premier League and strengthen our position. But we will try in every game. We intend to fight well against any opponent. We will do our best in all matches."
