Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger has announced that he feels ready again after a long break.
Idman.Biz reports that the German footballer explained how the recovery process, staying away from social attention and the time he spent with his family affected him.
"It's been a long time and I'm recovered now. I used this time to stay out of the spotlight - which is sometimes useful because unfortunately, whatever I do goes viral immediately. There are so many games and sometimes it's good that no one is talking about Rüdiger. Spending time with my family, with my children, has a positive effect on me," the defender emphasized.
The experienced defender noted that he knows his body well and that everything changes with age:
"I've been doing this for many years, but I was looking forward to coming back. I know my body perfectly and with age, everything is not the same as before. I have to feel good to play and fortunately it is now. I'm not as egotistical as people think, I'm open to criticism."
He also highly appreciated head coach Thomas Tuchel, who played a special role in his career:
"Tuchel is the best coach I have worked with. He has everything. He is very honest. He opened the way for me to succeed and that is why I play for Real Madrid today. Without him, this would not be possible. My biggest goal has always been to play for Real Madrid."
Rüdiger stated that he has returned to full readiness and is fully fit to wear the team's jersey in the next matches.
