"Manchester United" head coach Ruben Amorim has admitted his dissatisfaction with the team's results in response to a wave of criticism directed at him by former players of the club. Sport24.az reports that former "Manchester United" member Paul Scholes stated that Amorim was not suitable for the team.
In addition, the Englishman stated that Amorim did not understand the club's philosophy based on risk and attacking play.
The Portuguese expert said the following about the issue: "I think it's perfectly normal. The fact is: as the head coach of "Manchester United", I admit that we have not been successful enough. Especially this season, we should have scored more points. Therefore, I accept such criticism as natural. Sometimes they don't have all the information and they think that "Manchester United" should always live up to the high standards that have always been under its leadership and always win. It is, of course, difficult to see their club in this situation. It's not just about winning. The real problem is that I'm not doing a good enough job as a manager. This is a fact and I am ready to accept it. Basically, their only complaint is that "Manchester United" is not winning and is not where it should be. If the team wins, there is no problem".
After 15 games, "Manchester United" is in eighth place in the Premier League standings with 25 points.
