These words were said by the head coach of "Baku Sporting" Röyal Najafov while commenting on the game against "Shamakhi" (1:0) in the 1/8 final stage of the Bizon Azerbaijan Cup, which they lost.
The young specialist linked the absence of the main squad members of his team to injuries:
"As for the game, we prepared well for the match. I believe that we were able to show the fans attractive football. From the outside, you can't say that the teams were different. It was a head-to-head game. I congratulate "Shamakhi". We treat every football player as a member of the main squad. We had injured players. They are under the supervision of our doctors. If they had played in this match, the duration of the injury could have been extended. Therefore, we did not take the risk, we gave them a rest. The referee could have given a penalty. If he didn't, no one can accuse him. Playing against a Premier League club is an additional motivation. I don't think the opponent took us lightly. 60-70 percent of the main squad was on the field. We focus on our work. Many players in our squad played their first game".
