AFFA President Rovshan Najaf met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino. According to Sport24.az, members of the Azerbaijani delegation participating in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum also attended the meeting.
At the meeting, information was provided on the work done to develop football in Azerbaijan, including increasing the popularity of football, developing children's football, and infrastructure projects implemented in this direction. Cooperation issues between AFFA and FIFA in various directions were also reviewed.
During the conversation, the preparations for the final stage of the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be jointly organized by Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
