Rovshan Najaf, President of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA), met with Ravshan Irmatov, Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA), while on a visit to Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States, to participate in the draw ceremony for the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that this was announced on the official AFFA website.
During the meeting, various issues related to the organization and holding of the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, as well as strengthening relations between the associations in various fields, were discussed.
