Rovshan Gasimov, the coach of the Azerbaijan women's national football team, shared his thoughts after the match against the Andorra national team as part of the World Championship qualifying round. At the press conference held after the match in Baku, which ended with a 2:0 victory for our team, he expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance.
Idman.Biz reports that the coach first of all highly appreciated the atmosphere in the stands.
"There was a very good atmosphere. We tried to justify the hopes placed in us. I believe the fans enjoyed the game. We were satisfied with the team, the girls fulfilled all the tasks," Gasimov said.
Rovshan Gasimov also spoke about the upcoming goals, stating that the team will prepare for the next challenges. He emphasized that the games to be held in June will be decisive:
"We have very important matches ahead of us. In June, we will face the national teams of Hungary and North Macedonia. After that, we will fully focus on those meetings".
