"Our team is in very bad shape." These words were said to Sport24.az by Rovshan Ahmadov, the legendary football player of "Kapaz".
The former striker, who became the national champion three times with the Ganja representative, shared his views on the current situation of the "yellow-blues":
"Head coach Adil Shukurov has also resigned. But personally, I am still in favor of a local specialist leading the team. I would like to see Tarlan Ahmadov, Mahmud Gurbanov or Arif Asadov in this position. I can say with confidence that if any of these three come, they will be able to keep the team in the Premier League. They need to be trusted. I believe that the people I mentioned can keep the team in the championship. A lot depends on the decision of the management. Who are we? We are just expressing our opinion. The management does not have to consult us. Azar Bagirov is not a bad head coach either. But he probably won't come back. Earlier, his relationship with the club was not good and he left. He is a human being, maybe he will come. If he comes, it would be good personally."
R. Ahmadov also spoke about the former head coach Adil Shukurov:
"He is my friend, my companion. He came earlier and then the ways parted. But you saw he came and left again. He had also received compensation when he left earlier. They brought him back again. We are friends, companions. But I wouldn't do that. When he came, he saw the condition of the team. But he stayed at the club. When you see that it is like this, say that I am not working. You came and made yourself bad here. Which team will take you tomorrow? I don't believe that he will go to any team in the Premier League and work as a head coach. What I am saying applies to all specialists. If you want a job, you must have your own demands. I played with Tarlan. He is also unemployed now. He once came and worked in "Kapaz". He is currently unemployed again. There are many coaches who are unemployed. Whoever comes should benefit the team."
