Wayne Rooney believes there is a player who can rival the achievements of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo:
"Lamine Yamal is incredible. I've only seen him once in person. And I think he's the only boy who can surpass Cristiano and Messi."
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, Rio Ferdinand said he was surprised by his former Manchester United teammate's comments: "No, I don't agree. It's a very difficult task."
Rooney explained his opinion as follows: "He is miles ahead of Cristiano and Messi at this stage of his career, far superior to them.
It's crazy to imagine what comes after Ronaldo and Messi. Just like with Alan Shearer. What happens next? He's here. People come and grow. It's their time."
