Portuguese national team star Cristiano Ronaldo will not participate in this year's Club World Cup, which will be held in the USA.
According to "Report", the 40-year-old striker made the announcement at a press conference.
The experienced forward also confirmed that he had received invitations from several clubs:
"Despite numerous invitations and offers, it has been confirmed that I will not participate in the Club World Cup. There have been discussions and contacts. But we have to think in the short, medium and long term."
It should be noted that the Club World Cup will be held from June 15 to July 13. Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr team, where Ronaldo plays, will not be able to participate in the tournament. The Portuguese footballer's contract with the club expires on June 30. However, it is likely that the parties will sign a new agreement.
