Cristiano Ronaldo, the 40-year-old forward of the Portuguese national team and Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr club, spoke about ending his career after the national team's victory in the Nations League.
Lent.az reports that Ronaldo said he still wants to continue:
"You know how old I am. Frankly, I'm closer to the end than before, but I have to enjoy every moment. If I don't get a serious injury, I will continue."
On June 8, Portugal won the Nations League by defeating Spain in the final. The match ended 2-2 in regular time, and Ronaldo scored the goal that allowed the Portuguese to equalize when they were losing 1-2. In the second half, the football player was injured and substituted, so he did not participate in the penalty shootout, which ended 5-3 in favor of Portugal.
With this, Ronaldo won the Nations League cup for the second time with his national team. In total, the forward has three cups with the national team, and he also won the European Championship in 2016.
