Cristiano Ronaldo, the 40-year-old forward for the Portuguese national team, has become the oldest player to participate in a UEFA Nations League final in the tournament's history.
"Report" reports that the forward scored a goal against the Spanish national team in the final match of the 2024/2025 season of the League.
Ronaldo entered the field at the age of 40 (40 years and 203 days), surpassing Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić (37 years and 282 days, in the match against Spain in 2023) and Spanish defender Jesús Navas (37 years and 209 days, in the same match).
The Portuguese national team, which defeated the German national team 2:1 in the semi-finals, defeated the Spanish national team. The main and extra time of the match ended with a score of 2:2. In the penalty shootout, the Portuguese defeated their opponent with a score of 5:3.
