Netherlands national team coach Ronald Koeman has condemned the organization of the Club World Cup.
Idman.biz reports that the experienced specialist said that these steps are a blow to the careers of football players.
"I have expressed my opinion about the Club World Cup before. Holding it is absurd. Clubs will make good money from it, but it is difficult to even imagine that football players who have won big titles are happy to play there. They are destroying football players," the head coach of the "Oranges" said in a statement.
It should be noted that the Netherlands national team will face Finland on June 7 and Malta 3 days later as part of the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.
