Argentina national team and Tottenham defender Cristian Romero shared his thoughts on whether Lionel Messi will play at the 2026 World Cup. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement about this to "Tribal Football":
"Messi is in good shape, I think he will participate in the World Cup. But the final decision depends on him. The team loves playing with him. For me and people who understand football, Messi is the best football player in history."
It should be noted that the Argentina national team is currently the reigning world champion. The team led by Lionel Scaloni defeated the French team in the penalty shootout in the final of the 2022 World Cup.
